Instructions
  1. Lay salami slices flat on surface.

  2. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on each salami slice.

  3. If you prefer to use cheese slices, cut cheese into quarters and put on each slice of salami.

  4. Put a Chedz stick on each salami covered with cream cheese.

  5. Alternatively, put a Chedz stick on each salami covered sliced cheese.

  6. Roll-up each salami into a log like shape. If using cheese slices, roll them carefully as it is thicker and the Chedz can break.

  7. Optional: Add a green olive on each salami roll and insert a toothpick in the middle. If using sliced cheese since the rolls are thicker, ensure that toothpick is inserted through the seams as pictured in order to hold the log shape. When placed upright, you can push the salami roll down further.

  8. Optional: If you do not prefer green olives, you can opt to use other toppings such as cranberries or whatever you desire. Or, leave it off entirely.

Ingredients

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.

  2. Line a baking pan with parchment paper.

  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll 1 puff pastry dough sheet (has 3 panels) flat.

  4. Cut the 3 panels down each seam so that you will have 3 separate sheets.

  5. Cut each panel into 4 pieces (about 2 x 3). In total, you will have 12 pieces of dough after cutting the 3 panels into four pieces.

  6. In a small bowl, whisk together egg and salt for egg wash.

  7. Take each Lit’l Smokies® and slit it down the middle lengthwise (far enough to insert a stick of Chedz in the middle). Insert 1 stick of Chedz in the middle of the Lit’l Smokies®. See pic.

  8. Roll each Chedz Lit’l Smokies® in 1 puff pastry piece. Add shredded cheddar cheese on top of Smokies if preferred or omit. Seal with some egg wash. Repeat until finished.

  9. Place pastry-wrapped Chedz Smokies on parchment-lined baking sheets (seems down) and lightly brush with remaining egg wash. Sprinkle with poppy seeds (optional).

Please note: Ensure that seems are secure with egg wash as it will puff up and tear during baking if not secure.

  10. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of Chedz Smokies (about 1/4 cup).

  11. Bake until puffed and golden, about 10-12 minutes. Watch carefully after 10 minutes to ensure tops do not burn.

Ingredients

Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a pot over medium heat approximately to 350℉.

  2. Mix together the ground beef, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl.

  3. Peel and slice the onion into 1-centimeter rings, and detach the rings from each other. Be gentle as the rings can tear. If you cut them too thinly, they may tear. If opting to make just Chedzburger patties, skip this step.

  4. Take a spoonful of the beef mixture and press it into the bottom of a ring.

  5. Press a cheddar square into the center of the beef.
Seal the top with another spoonful of the beef, pressing it flat.
Repeat with the rest of the rings.

  6. Crush the Chedz into fine crumbs using a rolling pin, food processor or Magic Bullet. A food processor is recommended for this amount of Chedz.

  7. Put the flour, eggs, and Chedz crumbs into three separate bowls for dipping.

  8. Dip a ring into the flour, shake off excess, then into the egg, the Chedz crumbs, then back to the eggs, and one last time into the Chedz crumbs. Repeat with the remaining rings.

  9. Fry the rings for 5-6 minutes, until deep golden-brown.

  10. Serve the rings with ketchup. If making Chedzburgers, put in a double bun and add favorite garnishments.

  2. Line a baking pan with foil.

  3. Lay chips on the baking pan without touching.

  4. Crush Chedz into fine crumbs with a rolling pin, food processor or Magic Bullet.

  6. Top each chip with shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese of choice). The cheese on top will help hold the Chedz crumbs down. Similar to the Chedz crumbs, the amount of cheese will vary per chip size and by taste.

  7. Bake in the oven for about 3-5 minutes until the cheese has melted. Take out and let crisp.

Recipe Notes

Chedz chips are best eaten on the same day as the chip can get soft after day two or three.
