We love slow cooker meals, especially when they involve Chedz.  Using Chedz crumbs in meat will give it a very tender texture and is extremely flavorful.  Here is a yummy comfort food meal that will warm hearts!

  1. Crush Chedz crumbs finely using a rolling pin, food processor or Magic Bullet.
  2. Slice onion in half moons and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion soup mix, Chedz crumbs, and milk using your hands. Shape into 8-10 patties.
  4. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Dredge the patties in flour just to coat, and quickly brown on both sides in the hot skillet.
  5. Place browned patties into the slow cooker stacking each patty like a pyramid.
  6. In a medium bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soups, au jus mix, and water. Pour over the meat.
  7. Add the onions, dipping them to submerge in liquid.
  8. Cook on the Low setting for 4 or 5 hours, until ground beef is well done. Occasionally stir the sauce.
  9. About 60 minutes before cooked time, add the sliced mushrooms and stir to ensure that they are submerged in sauce.

Looking for some extraordinary nachos that are very different?  Try this simple Chedz Nachos recipe which is a great spin on the ordinary!  The Chedz sticks are unbelievably delicious with the mix of ingredients.  Use a mixture of Chedz flavors such as our Mexi and Spicy Chedz.  If you are looking for a Gluten Free option, use any of our Gluten Free Chedz flavors.  This recipe also provides the option of using a mix of Chedz sticks and corn chips which is also a yummy alternative!

  1. Preheat broiler to 350 degrees.
  2. Cook and stir ground meat of choice in a skillet over medium heat until meat is crumbly and no longer pink, 5 to 10 minutes. Drain excess grease. Stir in taco seasoning mix and water and simmer until beef mixture has thickened, 8 to 10 minutes.
  3. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  4. Spread tortilla chips on the prepared baking sheet; top with Cheddar cheese or other cheese of choice and add refried beans (if using) and meat mixture.
  5. Broil in the preheated oven until cheese is melted, watching carefully to prevent burning, 3 to 5 minutes.
  6. Top nachos with salsa, sour cream, black olives, green onions, and jalapeno peppers.
  7. If you would like to use a mix of Chedz sticks and corn tortillas for your nachos, follow the above steps and reduce the Chedz sticks by a desired amount (i.e. half) and add the tortilla chips. See pic.
