If you have a fondue set that is just sitting around, pull it out to make this yummy Chedz Cheddar Beer Fondue.  It is great for parties or game days.

Instructions
  1. Crush Chedz into fine crumbs with a rolling pin, Magic Bullet, or food processor and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix the shredded cheddar cheese and flour together.
  3. Add the beer to the fondue pot and bring to a light boil.
  4. Add the garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard powder and stir.
  5. Gradually stir cheese and flour mixture into the beer mixture. Reduce heat to low; cook and stir mixture until cheese is melted, about 5 minutes.
  6. Add Chedz crumbs to the mixture and stir. Serve with Chedz and other snacks.

Mini Baked Chedz Dogs – Courtesy of Susan Hall

We’ve created a recipe that has a different crunch and fun for any celebration.  This recipe requires very few ingredients and the measurements can be flexible according to your taste.  The BIG plus is that the carbs are minimal.  Serve these little cute appetizers to your guests to get a positive reaction!

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Prep a baking sheet with foil and spray with cooking oil.
  2. Crush Chedz into fine crumbs with a rolling pin, food processor or Magic Bullet.
  3. Cut the hot dogs into quarters.
  4. Put the flour, eggs, and Chedz crumbs into three separate bowls for dipping.
  5. Dip the hot dog into the flour, shake off excess, then into the egg, the Chedz crumbs, then back to the eggs, and one last time into the Chedz crumbs. Place on baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining hot dogs.
  6. Bake in the pre-heated oven for about 15-17 minutes until golden and crisp. Take out of the oven and let stand for 5-10 minutes to crisp up further.
  7. Optional: Insert a toothpick in each one and serve.

We love slow cooker meals, especially when they involve Chedz.  Using Chedz crumbs in meat will give it a very tender texture and is extremely flavorful.  Here is a yummy comfort food meal that will warm hearts!

  1. Crush Chedz crumbs finely using a rolling pin, food processor or Magic Bullet.
  2. Slice onion in half moons and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion soup mix, Chedz crumbs, and milk using your hands. Shape into 8-10 patties.
  4. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Dredge the patties in flour just to coat, and quickly brown on both sides in the hot skillet.
  5. Place browned patties into the slow cooker stacking each patty like a pyramid.
  6. In a medium bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soups, au jus mix, and water. Pour over the meat.
  7. Add the onions, dipping them to submerge in liquid.
  8. Cook on the Low setting for 4 or 5 hours, until ground beef is well done. Occasionally stir the sauce.
  9. About 60 minutes before cooked time, add the sliced mushrooms and stir to ensure that they are submerged in sauce.

  1. This recipe will make a crunchy batter. This crunch batter recipe was adapted from: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/jeff-mauro/oven-fried-onion-rings-recipe.html For a softer batter and lower carbs, see below adapted by Hall Brands. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place parchment paper on one baking sheet and set aside.
  2. Combine the flour and salt. In another bowl, whisk the eggs and buttermilk together. Add half of the flour mixture into the buttermilk and mix until smooth and thickened.
  3. Crush the Chedz into crumbs consistency using a rolling pin or food processor.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the Chedz, olive oil and remaining salt.
  5. Lightly and carefully dredge the onion rings in the flour, then buttermilk batter, and finally the Chedz mixture. Arrange on the baking sheet in a single layer. Bake until golden brown, watching carefully to ensure that Chedz crust does not burn; about 10-15 minutes.
  6. For a lower carb option that yields soft but tasteful onion rings: INGREDIENTS: -1 onion -1 TBS olive oil -1 TSP salt or to taste -4 OUNCE Chedz Crumbs (Any Flavor)
  7. INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Crush the Chedz into crumbs consistency using a rolling pin or food processor and put in a bowl. 2. Add salt to Chedz crumbs. 3. Place cut rings in a bowl and add 1 TBS and mix. 3. Put oiled onion rings in the Chedz crumbs mix and carefully stir. Pat loose Chedz crumbs onto rings. 4. Place each ring on the baking sheet. 5. Bake at 400 degrees for about 10-15 minutes; ensuring that Chedz crumbs do not burn. ENJOY!
